In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of Tikrit University, the College of Education in Tuz Khurma organized a moment of silence today, Sunday, August 3, 2025. This event was held inside the college to commemorate the National Day for the Genocide of the Yazidis and other Iraqi communities, and to honor the souls of all martyrs of Iraq.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, along with the administrative and scientific assistants, and a number of faculty members and staff. Participants observed a minute of silence to express solidarity with the victims of the genocide.
Staff members also observed a minute of silence in their offices, underscoring the importance of participating in this national event.
This moment of silence reinforces the values of coexistence and peace, rejects all forms of violence, and emphasizes national and human responsibility in achieving justice and shared living.
