Tuz Khurmatu College of Education is holding the "Day of the Letter Dhad" festival.

Under the auspices of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education/Tooz Khurmato, Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, the College of Education/Tooz Khurmato held its cultural festival on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in celebration of World Arabic Language Day (Dhad Day) on the college campus. The festival was attended by the Administrative Assistant Dean, Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed, the Scientific Assistant Dean, Professor Ali Salah Zein Al-Abidin, and a gathering of faculty members and students, with organization led by the Department of Arabic Language. The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem, and included a speech by the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Salman, highlighting the prestige and significance of the Arabic language. The event further featured a theatrical performance of the "Zunburiyya Issue," a poetic debate among students, and the recitation of poems honoring the Arabic language. The festival concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the organizers in recognition of their efforts in ensuring the success of the event.
