The College of Education in Tuz Khurmatu is organizing a specialized course in environmental energy sustainability and renewable energy.

In alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of Tikrit University regarding the support of sustainable development and continuing education programs, and under the auspices of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, supervised by the Dean of the College of Education/Tuz Khurmatu, Professor Dr. Nehad Ali Shafeeq, and the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abd Hussein, with the coordination of the Continuing Education Unit managed by Dr. Zainab Chalabi Mohammed, the specialized course titled "Environmental Energy Sustainability and Occupational Safety - Renewable Energy" commenced today, Wednesday, May 13, 2026. This program is part of the accredited blended scientific courses designed for career advancement and the development of professional and academic skills. The session featured a scientific lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Nehad Ali Shafeeq, which addressed modern concepts of environmental energy sustainability and mechanisms for utilizing renewable energy sources to support sustainable development, alongside a review of occupational safety standards and their importance in enhancing academic and institutional work environments according to contemporary scientific foundations. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of sustainable development, consolidating occupational safety concepts, and supporting continuous rehabilitation and development programs for teaching and administrative staff.
