The College of Education in Tuz Khurmatu held a scientific seminar entitled: The Impact of Anxiety on English Language Learning Performance

Under the auspices of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education/Tuz Khurmatu, Professor Dr. Nehad Ali Shafeeq, in coordination with the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abd Hussein, a scientific seminar was convened on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Tuz Khurmatu Martyrs Hall. Attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, staff, and students, the seminar featured a scholarly lecture presented by Lecturer Assistant Nouray Asghar Hameed, which investigated the impact of anxiety on student performance in English language acquisition. The presentation addressed the underlying psychological factors and highlighted key pedagogical strategies designed to mitigate anxiety and enhance linguistic achievement. The event witnessed significant academic engagement from the audience, fostering substantive discussions and interventions aimed at enriching the educational process and elevating academic performance within the college.
