Under the auspices of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education/Tooz Khurmato, Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, and the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abd Hussein, the College of Education/Tooz Khurmato, in collaboration with the Al-Intisar Integrated Center for Literacy and Life Skills, organized an awareness seminar titled "The Role of Literacy in Community Service" on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Tooz Khurmato Martyrs Hall as part of the college's institutional accreditation activities. The seminar featured scientific and educational sessions presented by lecturers from the Al-Intisar Integrated Center, namely Mr. Muhannad Hussein Ismail, Ms. Hajar Mohammed Amin, and Ms. Faten Fawzi Rahman, who discussed the significance of literacy in community service, the enhancement of cultural and educational awareness, and the development of essential life skills. This activity represents the fruit of joint institutional cooperation between the College of Education/Tooz Khurmato and the Al-Intisar Integrated Center, aimed at supporting purposeful community programs and strengthening the role of academic institutions in social service, in alignment with Tikrit University’s objectives for sustainable community development.
