An academic seminar at the College of Education in Tuz Khurmatu discusses the moral rights of parents in commemoration of the birth of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, Dean of the College of Education in Tuz Khurma, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abd Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center at Tikrit University, the Continuing Education Unit at the college—in coordination with the Holy Quran Institute (Tuz Khurma Branch) and through the organizational efforts of Dr. Zainab Chalabi Mohammed, Head of the Continuing Education Unit—convened a scientific seminar titled:

"The Moral Rights of Parents over Children: The Mother as a Primary Model"

The seminar took place on the morning of Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Tuz Khurma Martyrs’ Hall.

Commemorative Context and Objectives

The event was held in celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), honoring the sublime human and ethical values he personified regarding filial piety and parental devotion.

The keynote speakers from the Holy Quran Institute—Mr. Abdul Hadi Ali Jaafar, Mr. Mohammed Khalaf Taqi al-Imamli, and Mr. Rafid Ibrahim Abbas al-Tamimi—presented lessons derived from the Imam’s fragrant legacy. Their discussions focused on the fulfillment of the spiritual and moral rights of mothers and fathers, emphasizing the fundamental role of the family in constructing a righteous society based on rigorous legal (Sharia) and academic perspectives.

Participation and Engagement

The seminar witnessed active and distinguished participation, including the presence of the Director of the Sunni Endowment Office in Tuz Khurma, as well as various faculty members, staff, and students. The attendees enriched the session with interventions and scholarly discussions, reflecting the vital necessity of bridging rigorous scientific research with authentic religious and ethical values to elevate societal standards.
