A scientific course entitled "The Concept of Extremism and Methods of Combating It" was held at the College of Education in Tuz Khurmatu.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, Dean of the College of Education - Tuz Khurmatu, the University Psychological Counseling Unit organized an awareness seminar titled "The Concept of Extremism and Strategies for Counteraction," featuring lectures by Dr. Samah Hussein Assad, Asst. Lect. Sirwan Aziz Shakoor, Asst. Lect. Abdullah Mahmoud Jassim, Asst. Lect. Nahida Fahd Abid, Asst. Lect. Farah Sabah Khalaf, Mr. Saad Adnan Mardan, and Ms. Ruya Sabah Madad, held at the Mathematics Department Hall on Sunday and Monday, January 25–26, 2026, at 11:00 AM, covering themes such as the conceptual framework of extremism, its underlying causes, preventative measures, and the stance of Iraqi law toward extremism.
