A scientific course at the College of Education in Tuz Khurmatu on modern scientific development skills for final-year students and graduates

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nihad Ali Shafiq, Dean of the College of Education/Tuz Khurmatu, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Education/Tuz Khurmatu organized a scientific workshop as part of its annual plan titled: "Modern Scientific Development Skills for Final-Year Students and Graduates: Computing, Language, Critical Thinking, and CV Writing." The sessions were held at the Biology Department Hall on Monday and Tuesday, April 6–7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the presence of faculty members, staff, and a gathering of students, specifically those in their final year of study. The workshop aimed to enhance students' professional competencies and prepare them for the labor market by strengthening their computer proficiency, developing linguistic skills, establishing the foundations of critical thinking, and providing training on professional CV drafting in accordance with the standards of academic institutions and the modern workforce. The curriculum included theoretical and practical modules focusing on the applied aspects essential for a graduate’s career path, utilizing real-world models and contemporary methodologies to boost efficiency and competitive advantage in professional environments. The sessions were conducted by Asst. Lect. Mateen Abdul-Amir Mahdi and Asst. Lect. Nuray Asghar Hamid. Upon the conclusion of the workshop, attendees commended the scientific content provided, emphasizing the vital role of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academic education and the practical requirements of the job market.
